For the perfect wildlife experience, come to the Alma Park Zoo that
houses some foreign and endangered animals. At the zoo, you can know
different information about the animals from the keepers and see
presentations about Red Pandas, Ring-tailed Lemur, Spider Monkeys,
Koala, Snakes, Baboons, Crocodiles and Camels. Explore the different
species of primates like Squirrel Monkeys, Capuchins, Tamarins and
Marmosets. Don’t forget to watch out for the Sun Bear, the Blackbuck
Antelope, Exotic Birds, Dingoes, the Himalayan Tahr and Cassowary. Grab
the opportunity to feed the kangaroos, wallabies, emus, deer and other
animals with your hand.
Other facilities
Alma Park Zoo offers wide varieties of animals to your to see. Plus, you
can enjoy at the picnic lawns and benefit from the barbecue facilities.
The picnic lawns are located in the rainforest gardens where you can
have your private picnic or go to Palm Café and enjoy some food. The zoo
also offers the opportunity to take photos with animals.
Animals found in the zoo
Alma Park Zoo houses mostly some foreign animals that are not native to
Australia like Black Handed Spider Monkey, Red Panda, White Tufted-Ear
Marmoset, Southern Cassowary, Red Kangaroo, Eastern Grey Kangaroo,
Ring-tailed Lemur, Green Iguana, Black-Capped Capuchin and Blackbuck
Antelope among other animals. Among the house of reptiles, you will find
Olive Python, Boa Constrictor, Stimpson's Python, Carpet Python and Woma
Python. Other animals include freshwater crocodiles, Fallow Deer, Water
Buffalo and donkeys.
Beside animals, there are also species of birds including Eclectus
Parrot, Long-billed Corella, Major Mitchell's Cockatoo, Barn Owls,
Alexandrine Parrot, Silver Pheasant and others.
From the house of lizards, there are Thick-tailed Gecko, Water Dragon
and Eastern Blue-tongue. There is a Friendship Farm that includes
Miniature Cow, Baby Chickens, Sheep, Alpaca, Goats and Guinea Pigs.
